Strong base for future development: Capital Maintenance merges into Sasse Group October 1, 2024
Sasse Group and Capital Maintenance have laid the foundation for a strong future and a widened service portfolio in the UK markets. “We are pleased to announce the successful merger of Capital Maintenance into Sasse Group”, says Benny Wunderlich, the new Managing Director of Capital Maintenance and MD of Sasse UK. On October 1, 2024, the family-owned and - governed Sasse Group, which operates facilities management across the UK, acquired 100 percent of the shares of the London-based family business. Capital Maintenance, which employs a workforce of around 100 highly skilled technicians, has been a reliable partner in the London market for 33 years. Its services range from project management to maintenance and servicing in the real estate sector. The qualifications of the team cover all technical trades from floor layers to engineers. Its customers include properties of the “Crown Estate”. Benny Wunderlich sees positive perspectives for the workforce. “We are present nationwide with a high level of expertise and commitment at the technical level.” With a view to the intensive changes in hard FM and the challenges posed by the increased pursuit of efficiency and sustainability he is confident, that “this merger will enhance our market impact in favour of the rising demand for total FM.”
Dr. Laura Sasse, co-owner and CFO of Sasse Group, acknowledges the advantages of the take over for both companies “This strategic move strengthens our commitment to our clients and ensures we can deliver an even better experience across our service portfolio. Our Group is thereby strengthening its presence in the UK and expanding its potential as a full FM service provider.” Sasse Group's already strong commitment in the UK will be further expanded by the acquisition of the technical specialist. “Between Edinburgh in the north and Southampton in the south of the country, our quality of service is already respected,” emphasizes Benny Wunderlich.
The acquisition of Capital Maintenance increases the number of Sasse employees in the UK to a current total of 1500. Founded in 1976 in Munich, Sasse Group is a 100% family-owned, international organisation with 8.900 employees. The company is lead by the second generation of the founding family. www.sasse-group.com. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
